Background:
The BREATH Wellbeing Census is a proposed annual survey aimed at capturing wellbeing data in Birmingham schools, via a digital survey. The census has been devised by Birmingham Educational Psychology Service and is supported by the University of Warwick’s Department of Mental Health and Wellbeing.

Methods:
Data from the census will assist in the creation of school dashboards, help promote further strategic and innovative approaches to wellbeing in the region and contribute to the academic literature in the field of youth
mental health wellbeing.

Implications for Implementation:
It is hoped that the data collected from the census will enable a bettering understand of the on-going emotional wellbeing of children and young people in schools in Birmingham. This data can then be used to inform future policies and help schools and services to better provide support to young people in the city. The data will also allow evaluation of current and future interventions that support young people in the city and assist in finding out what works and what is useful regarding wellbeing.
